Okay we know how you love our #fishFridays and have made them so very popular over the years, we thought we’d pass on a few tasty reasons to those who have never been. Yes, we’re probably going to bury ourselves in a hole even more, but we LOVE being busy! And we love serving our guests and meeting new ones all the time. So if YOU have not been around the bakery lately – or EVER (- really?), then coming on a Friday is a very good time to do so. Here are 5 great reasons to try our hot table on #FishFriday:
1 – Deep fried, lightly tempura style battered, crispy haddock in the hot table. We stock up constantly so there’s no reason you have to wait around – the fishfriday is ready – and really good! Or so our customers tell us.
2- Paella. if you’ve never had this Spanish inspired rice dish, it is an amazing concoction of tomatoes, tomato sauce, onions, garlic, wine and rice with fish and shellfish cooked within. You see the fish gives it flavour during the cooking process, so everything in this mixture tastes like mussels, clams, shrimp and fish. So good.
3- Pasta. Oh yeah, a lot fo Friday we’ll have a lovely creamy pasta with pesto and shrimp or a similar creation for those craving noodles, but also seafood too!
4- In season baked salmon that is doused in wine, olive oil and herbs to give a delicate, yet amazing flavour. This also feels lighter and goes great with a salad.
5- Oh yeah. We would be remiss if we did not mention our tempura calamari that is quick shallow fried to a light and tender crisp – the calamari is so good you’ll be thinking about it at work for the rest of the day.
